Wicket is the project of multi-instrumentalists Jim Canuso and Sean Christman. After a number of years playing in bands together, the Philadelphia based duo went into the studio at the end of 2019. The result was a 4-track EP, Ashford, released in March 2020. The band cites Pacific Northwest groups such as Strange Ranger, Snow Roller, Daphne Loves Derby, and Gatsbys American Dream as influences.

I Don't Know, Burn Stuff is truly a stunning indie rock song. The song evokes an early 2000's feeling with its spotlight centered on the piano and soft, but still present, overdriven guitar. With its catchy melody and laid back alternative rock sound, Wicket's song reminds me of Semisonic's Closing Time.
