“Trains Going By” is a folk rock ballad of Supernobody’s 2019 album, “You Can’t Go Back”. The band is popular in the Athens Ohio area and have released a number of albums in their indie rock style.

Adam Remnant is a folk rock singer-songwriter who was the lead singer for the band Southeast Engine. He has since released a debut solo album, “Sourwood”. I know Adam from music programs at Stuart’s Opera House and have learned a great deal from him for which I am eternally grateful.

Here is a short message from Adam regarding his song choice:
“I have loved the songwriting of Supernobody's Mike Elliott for a long time, and this song felt like one of his best. I acted as the recording/mixing engineer and co-producer for Supernobody's 2019 album You Can't Go Back. This song particularly stood out to me during the sessions. I loved mixing the song just to listen to it over and over again. The lyrics are so beautiful as they describe working life, environmental harm, and hard times in a small town contrasted with a wanderlust for west coast adventures complete with a meal in the company of Woody Guthrie. I know I love a song when I wish I wrote it or feel jealousy over the writing. I am super jealous of this song! I try to make a point to learn how to play each song that I obsess over with the hope of learning something from it. 'Trains Going By' was no exception. For the production, I was happy to get the wonderful Caitlin Kraus to add harmony vocals as well. I love how it all came together for this compilation.”
