I know Shannon from participating in Rural Action birding events in the past (yeah, I'm a nature nerd) and she is a very kind and knowledgeable person. I was blown away listening to her cover of her nephew's song and the simple lo-fi indie folk style she created here, because I had no idea she could play music. There is a musician in every one of us!

Here is a short message from Shannon Stewart regarding her song choice:
"This is a cover of Killian Yoakem's hit single 'Unless They Say You're Awesome'. Killian wrote this when he was 11 and recorded and copyrighted it when he was 12. Killian also happens to be my nephew, and one of my favorite people. It's an okay cover of a song with awesome in the title."
